Games / MB Mining

Mine Tycoon.

Dig your mine, grow your plant, and beat the odds.

A mining and processing sandbox where you build the route from copper ore to a saleable product. Lay out the plant, find its bottlenecks and keep the operation solvent.

The operation

You run the whole thing.

Read the ground, commit capital, and keep every part of the process moving.

01

Read the orebody.

Plan around copper grade, ore hardness and finite deposits. Geology research unlocks subsurface slices, spot assays and a full orebody heatmap so you can choose where to dig.

02

Build the whole circuit.

Connect screens, crushers, grinding mills and flotation cells with conveyors and pipes. Send concentrate through smelting or pressure oxidation and electrowinning, or build a heap-leach and solvent-extraction route to copper cathodes.

03

Keep the business running.

Capital spending, payroll, maintenance and product quality affect the bottom line. Scenarios ask for different results: profit, cash reserves, shipped copper or measured plant throughput.

Scenarios

New ground. New pressure.

A complete plant to explore, a focused circuit challenge and greenfield operations with different mandates. These six maps show a selection of the available starts.

Complete plant / Sandbox

Coronado Queen Mine

Explore a working plant with two grinding trains, parallel flotation circuits, shared tailings storage and multiple copper-finishing routes. No cash deadline; ore and storage still have limits.

Crusher bypass / Optimization challenge

Grizzly Gulch

Start with a loaned plant and $600,000. Add a screen and route fines around the crusher. On normal difficulty, deliver an average 2,600 tonnes per hour to the stockpile over a full hour, within two days.

Greenfield build / Profit target

Arizona Desert Canyon

Establish a new operation on broad desert benches. Pace your first plant investment and finish the scenario window with the required profit.

Mountain operation / Cash and reputation

Colorado Rockies

Build around tight pads and elevation changes. Reach the required bank balance while keeping reputation above the scenario's minimum throughout the run.

Remote island / Limited building space

Diomede

Develop an isolated island claim with little spare land. Make each expansion earn its place and reach the required final bank balance before the deadline.

Island logistics / Copper export target

Indonesia

Build an export chain around broken coastlines. The target counts copper actually shipped to market, so mining more ore is only the start.

More terrain to explore includes the Himalayas and Caldera. Creative Builder supports terrain, ore and water editing, structure placement, and saving your own maps.

Plant control

Make the tonnes count.

Follow the material.

Inspect actual feed and product size curves, copper grades and delivered tonnes per hour. A full downstream buffer or a disconnected outlet can stop an otherwise capable machine.

Tune the circuit.

Adjust mill throughput, rougher mass pull and cleaner recycle. Grinding changes the material sent to flotation; recovery and concentrate quality determine what reaches the finishing plant.

Expand with a purpose.

Geology research improves ore visibility. Hydrometallurgy unlocks heap leaching, solvent extraction, electrowinning and pressure oxidation. Plan the supporting equipment as well as the next process unit.
